Olivia's Washington DC Journal

37 The Capital

On Wednesday night we had to fly on an airplane called Jet Blue. On Thursday I took the subway to Union Station. The first day we went to the National Gallery of Art and Arlington National Cemetery. We saw the changing of the guards, John Fitzgerald Kennedy's grave and the Arlington House. The Arlington House is where Robert E. Lee lived before he died. At the end of the day we went back to Union Station and ate dinner.

On Friday I went to the place where they make paper money (the Bureau of Engraving). After that we went to the Holocaust Museum and the National Air and Space Museum. We had lunch at the world's largest McDonald's!!

Saturday I went to the White House, the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of American History. My favorite part of Washington DC was the Air and Space Museum. they had a space ship simulator that was so much fun!
